Volunteering with SWN – We’re in need of your assistance!

Volunteering is generally considered an altruistic activity where an individual or group provides services. Volunteering is also renowned for skill development, and is often intended to promote goodness or to improve human quality of life. Volunteering may have positive benefits for the volunteer as well as for the person or community served. -Wikipedia

Isn’t it time you supported an organization that feeds your passion of writing? Isn’t it time you tear down the walls and meet people who share the same passion of writing like you? Isn’t it time you meet that Speaker and/or Consultant that may remember you in the future and possibly work with you? Isn’t it time you pick a New Year’s resolution you can feel good about? Isn’t it worth your time? ARE YOU REALLY READY? Ready to take that plunge and commit to working towards your goal by following your passion in a path that can lead you there?

We are looking for volunteers to assist us immediately in the following departments:

1) Setting up and tearing down the equipment/chairs – at the events

2) Check-in assistance – at the events

3) Taking photos (with our camera) – at the events

4) Assisting in departments – Membership, Social Media, etc.

**If you are interested in volunteering, please plan to attend the free Volunteer meeting (talking only), for all departments, on Saturday, April 23rd at 11:00 AM through 12:00 noon, prior to our scheduled Writing Success Seminar meeting. (If you have a resume, please bring it with you.)

Please REGISTER before 10:00 pm on Friday, April 22, 2016, in order for us to have a head count of attendees.

As we are a community service non-profit organization, and, as we are growing, we could use your assistance this year.

We are looking for long-term, committed, team players and friendly volunteers who can commit and follow through.

*We’re looking to schedule volunteers for different Saturdays to assist at the events.

Benefit(s) of being an active volunteer:

1) Free entrance into all SWN events – as long as you are ACTIVELY volunteering with us.

2) One free entrance into one of our SWN Programs – HOP, TOP and High Concept.

3) Free one-year membership with SWN – have access to “members only” section and meetings. *Current SWN members will receive a one-year extension. ***HOWEVER, you must be an ACTIVE volunteer for at least four (4) months prior to receiving this benefit.
