Message from the President: Expanding Support for Writers

An Exciting Opportunity for SWN Members

With the tremendous success of our longstanding screenplay programs — the High Concept Screenplay Program, Hollywood Outreach Program, and Television Outreach Program — Scriptwriters Network has accumulated an impressive library of award-winning scripts from our members.

However, even after receiving top recognition through these programs, many writers have shared with us the ongoing challenges of moving their projects forward in the industry.

In response, Scriptwriters Network has expanded its efforts to further support our writers in meaningful and practical ways.

Expanding Our Services to Support Writers

We have introduced a production arm of the organization, Scriptwriters Network Entertainment Group (SWNEG). This initiative is designed to explore opportunities to develop and produce selected projects from our writing programs, as well as compelling or award-worthy scripts from our dedicated membership community.

We recognize that access to production opportunities can be limited, particularly for emerging and first-time writers. This new initiative reflects our continued commitment to supporting writers while remaining realistic about the competitive nature of the entertainment industry.

To successfully implement this effort and continue advancing our mission, we rely on the support of our community.
