The Hook: How to Captivate Your Reader
Event Date: Saturday, August 22, 2015 || Speaker: Karin Gutman Orloski || Check-in: 12:30 pm ||
For a story to captivate your audience, you must pique the brain’s curiosity. The reader must want to know what happens next. But how do you do that? This seminar is designed to give you specific tips and tools to hook your reader as you write the first five pages of your screenplay.
**The deadline has passed and REGISTRATION is now CLOSED for this event. Please view our calendar for upcoming events.
You’ll also learn the key elements to make every scene thereafter pop off the page. The following three films will be used as examples during our discussion: Groundhog Day, Little Miss Sunshine, and American Beauty. Karin highly recommends viewing them ahead of the seminar.
