Learn the tools and techniques of professional story evaluation while improving your own screenwriting craft.
Program Description:
In this interactive class, participants gain a comprehensive foundation in script analysis — breaking down story, character, and dialogue to better understand what makes a screenplay effective. You’ll learn to deliver constructive, detailed notes, cultivating a professional eye for storytelling that will enhance your own writing and critical thinking.
By joining this class, you’ll also have the opportunity to become part of SWN’s network of volunteer readers for our Hollywood Outreach Program (HOP), Television Outreach Program (TOP), and High Concept Screenplay Program (HCSP) — gaining real-world reading experience while supporting other writers.

Readers who complete a minimum of two sessions (one per year) and evaluate twenty (20) scripts within SWN’s programs will receive a Certificate of Completion.
Please note: Readers are accepted only at the beginning of each session, not after sessions have started.
