40 Years of Scriptwriters Network
As Scriptwriters Network marks its 40th anniversary, I find myself reflecting with deep gratitude on the journey that brought us here — and on the countless individuals whose passion, generosity, and belief in writers made it possible.
Since 1986, Scriptwriters Network has existed to educate, connect, and support writers navigating the ever-changing landscape of film, television, and emerging media. What began as a small community built around shared purpose has grown into an organization sustained by collaboration, mentorship, and a genuine commitment to creative growth.
This milestone is not about looking back alone — it is about honoring the foundation that allows us to move forward. We are here because of dedicated volunteers, visionary speakers, supportive partners, generous sponsors, and writers who trusted this community as a place to learn, grow, and be seen.
I am profoundly thankful for the guidance, resilience, and collective effort that have shaped Scriptwriters Network over four decades. The work we do matters, and it continues because of the people who show up — year after year — to support storytellers and the power of story itself.
