More details:
Greta Heinemann grew up at the Bavarian-Austrian border (where they shot THE SOUND OF MUSIC) and, for the lack of parents telling her otherwise, raised herself watching an abundance of German-dubbed US TV shows by day, and action movies by night. At the age of fourteen, it was the lethal concoction of BAYWATCH, MELROSE PLACE and THE TERMINATOR that inspired Greta to pursue a career as a Hollywood writer. She proceeded to learn how to speak English (by watching BAYWATCH and also THE SHIELD, the latter of which might explain her foul vocabulary) and immigrated to the US in 2009.
Greta has since been named a CBS Writers Mentoring Program Fellow as well as a Humanitas New Voices Awards winner and currently works as TV writer on the staff of NCIS NEW ORLEANS. She’s also dedicating her nights and weekends to her second passion, feature films, and has recently won the Final Draft Big Break awards.
