Staged Reading Series
The Staged Reading Series provides the writer an opportunity to have a submitted feature or television script performed by actors through a table read and/or rehearsed on a theatre stage. Having a script interpreted by other artists and hearing it with other voices is an invaluable tool to a project’s creative evaluation.
This program is available year-round. There are no submission deadlines. This is not a competition.
Hear your characters come to life! Get a new perspective on your script! The series’ objective is to help writers improve their craft through feedback from the performance of their work and interpretation of its dialogue and storyline in an artisitic environment. A structured feedback session with the actors immediately follows each reading. The writer may invite up to twenty additional guests to participate.
$70 for Scriptwriters Network members
$100 for non-members
Please see the Staged Reading Series submission guidelines and questionnaire (pdf) for additional information.
If you have additional questions not answered in the guidelines, please contact the Staged Reading Series Director, Dan Margules, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
