The filmmaker will discuss the process of writing an Episodic Digital Series. She will also discuss writing Sitcoms and how to transition them into web series as well as leveraging content to hook and build audiences.

rsz_photo_noranolanNora Nolan is a comedian and writer based in Los Angeles. She was recently selected to be a member of the 2016-2017 Warner Brothers Writers’ Workshop.

Nora earned her chops as a stand-up comic in Washington, DC and New York City before moving to Los Angeles in 2013 and can be seen performing both stand-up and improv regularly around LA.

In 2015, Nora was hired to do a page-one rewrite of a sitcom pilot, Written Off, which was subsequently shot in March 2016. The pilot is now available on Amazon and is an Official Selection at the 2016 New York TV Festival.

Since 2013, Nora has written several episodic digital series for production company Whalerock Industries (formerly BermanBraun), including 7 Wonders of the Wall, a celebrity joke show that regularly got a million views, and Mandatory Viewing, a pop culture comedy show aimed at men that ran for 32 weeks.

She’s also written numerous one-off sketch videos for the production company, including the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt/Orange is the New Black Mash-up, the 2015 Kid Oscars, and the Kids Reenact series, featuring kids acting out scenes from Grey’s Anatomy, Empire, and The Voice.

Nora watches offensive amounts of television.
